dōTERRA Customer Appreciation Event - SME Postcard Party

My local dōTERRA team is hosting a Customer Appreciation Event on SAT, August 10th from 10am to 2pm.

With that in mind, we've been working to get in touch with customers and wellness advocates on our teams. We want everyone who wants to be there to know about it - so they can be there!

We offer education and opportunities for connection via our Facebook Groups. And you know me, I am happy to send out emails when there are events worth hollerin' about. But, what I've learned in a few conversations I've had recently with people on my team, is that they're not really paying attention to emails. I think it plays into the sense of overwhelm a lot us are experiencing.

With that in mind - I offered up the idea of postal pick-me-ups to the leaders on my dōTERRA Team. I don't know of anyone who hates getting positive snail mail. IF YOU ARE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE, please by all means, use the comment section to set the record straight.

Postcard Party was scheduled for MON, July 29th from 6pm to 8pm and open to anyone who wanted to send out postcards to their team members with invite info for our Customer Appreciation Event. I was happy with the pile I was able to send off after it was all said and done.

We also hosted a Monday Night, Make A Roller event for the wider community at the same time.

It was a good time. I am always thankful for an opportunity to expand natural solutions, love and appreciation ... and a darn good party invite ... with others.

If you'd like an easy and festive/relaxed introduction to dōTERRA essential oils, you are warmly welcome to join. It's a float in and out as your schedule allows. And as most events do, we'll have fatty-nibbles and beverages, giveaways, product testers -- and tons o' information about natural solutions.

Plant Plot Update July 29 2024

Sometimes, visiting the garden first thing in the morning serves primarily as a brain boost. It isn't about harvesting zucchini and tomatoes, it's about harvesting a feast for the eyes (and the heart).

I started these Morning Glories from seed - and to see them flourishing and offering so much loveliness for all to see (well, for those who have access to my backyard), just gives me a feeling of butterflies in the belly (my emotional belly, that is).

They're like this beautifully-brave horn section ...

Resonating frequencies of "all the best for my hopes and dreams" in the midst of a tougher-than-expected season of life.

I love planting flowers in the garden to support pollinators -- of course, I do -- but also, selfishly, for the uplift they bring to my day-in-day-out existence.

And so, HAPPY MONDAY from the garden!

Plant Plot Update July 28 2024

I cannot get over it. These blueberries are from the backyard. FROM MY BACKYARD!

Mr. J. has been diligently harvesting a few at a time, keeping a schedule just a bit ahead of the birds and critters who also like berries.

It’s our first real harvest from the bushes we planted a while back.

I’m made (all of) us some banana blueberry waffles today in celebration.

This is what I think about when I think about how much I love having a garden. I think about the fresh, real food that comes from the soil and how I can prepare it for the people I love. I think about how the magic of nature is amplified by love and collaboration, and an intention of celebrating abundance.

Plant Plot Update July 27 2024

Are you familiar with the experience of growing tomatoes, but never getting to eat any ... because the local squirrel community thinks of your garden as their FREE-FOR-ALL BUFFET?

I've learned to harvest a bit on the early side so that the squirrels don’t take advantage.

They still get some. But at least, we get some too! Actually, we get plenty ...

I'm just salty over the years of ravaged almost-harvests.

Thank goodness tomatoes ripen off the vine! I keep them on my kitchen table as they grow more yellow or more red (depending on their variety) and then eat (or share).

We planted extra (A LOT EXTRA) tomato plants this year so that we could all get a lot (yes, even accounting for the critters).

Are you growing a garden this year? Any tomatoes?

Plant Plot Update July 26 2024

The truth is - I grow bell pepper plants for my mom. We (the kid and I) don't do an awful lot with peppers in our menu. I am not saying they aren't appreciated and that we don't have ANY use for them ...

(I'll slip them into pasta sauce and/or meatballs...)

I'm just saying that with a plant like this ... a plant that's going for GOLD ... most of these peppers are heading to mom's (that, or Mr, J's).

I am so glad that they grow so well and I am really happy I can share them with others.

Reflections Year 43 Day 194

This was easily my mostest-favoritest part of any of the applications I've submitted recently. 💕

They got my videos with Triston Cole as a Side Project, a bullet list of Super Swell Summer notes and a handful of references.

Hooray for a little fun during the job hunting process!

Collab Convo 1 with Triston Cole

I love getting the opportunity to share great stories. Here's one from my friend Triston Cole about his experience work camping and what he's building to help others.

In this conversation, we unpack what work camping is, how he and his family got started work camping, and the inspiration behind his decision to build the Work Camping Made Easy platform for others.

Triston’s guiding philosophy of GratSuBala is built on the principles of gratitude, support and balance. Incorporating these principles into every decision offers us the opportunity to elevate ourselves, our lives and the lives of those around us.
