A day of rest, of creation, of connection.

A day of saying YES to the things that are closest to my heart.

I’m thankful for days like these, to share heart to heart with a close friend. To learn and question – and offer perspective – in safe space. To develop and plan, and hopefully, improve each other’s paths.

I know that my son sees and hears this, and I hope he absorbs the goodness of the exchange. And that, in his own way, he will learn to connect and grow with his own friends.

To me, it is a kind of church, a worship service. Souls coming together to review, evaluate, offer love and send forth with peace.

We can do better.

And having each other’s backs means there’s a bigger chance, we WILL do better.
